Version 0.9.7 Is Out!!
1) Support for English
I mean, the dialogues were supposed to be a bit hard to read, very ambiguous and cheesy, and a little bit frustrating. Mostly to make you hate everybody you speak with. But after receiving some feedback, I realised that they were a lot harder and frustrating than I meant to. I mean, some people are going to skip everything, and that's OK. But when there are native English speakers who are actually putting in the effort to read, and they still struggle, well, this is way too hard...
So in version 0.9.7, dialogues should be a lot easier to read. Less made up slang, fewer typos, less confusion. And hopefully, they'll still be as ridiculous as before, maybe even more so. Just a little bit.
And speaking of ridiculous..
2) Story Intro screen
Added a new screen with a brief backstory before kicking off a new game. This backstory has been lingering in my mind for a while, but I've never found a good way to present it until I ended up in Covid-induced self-isolation. This particular Covid variant seems to have granted me a bonus in ridiculousness. Managed to whip up some AI-generated images in ~ 2 hours, hitting a whopping 999% productivity. A success story in its own right.
